![]() ![]() Don't give the bin/ directory as the value of JAVA_HOME or IDEA_JDK. CrashPlan wont start on either a Jail restart or a system reboot. And to be clear, the directory you give should have the bin/ directory (where, e.g., the java, javac and many other commands are found) as the immediate subdirectory of the directory you give. We hope you'll join the conversation by posting to an open topic or starting a new one. This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity. So again, set and export JAVA_HOME or IDEA_JDK to the base directory of the JDK isntallation you want IDEA to use. During that period, Read圜LOUD mobile app or web portal might not allow logins and remote file access. However, there must also be a " javac" command (that is, you're specifying a JDK, not just a JRE). 1) Make sure Windows 7 GUI is 4. If you can run " java -version" (e.g.) and get an answer (not a " java: command not found" diagnostic), then Java is intalled. CrashPlan updated to 4.3.0 and now my Windows 7 GUI will not connect. This release will require that you update EDR and network policies as well as re-allow full-disk access for the CrashPlan application on macOS devices. The latter just quotes some otherwise special characters (spaces and glob pattern characters, e.g., but not variable references). The CrashPlan agent will undergo branding updates as part of the version 11.0 agent release. The former runs wha's enclosed within them and substitutes the command's output where the back-ticked expression appeared. There's a big difference between back-ticks and double quotes. Furthermore, unless you export the variables in question, they won't be seen by the IDEA launcher script. I then wanted the latest firmware so followed this blog to do that.JAVA_BIN_PATH is used internally. So after intial boot, turn on SSH, you can do localisation again if you want.īoot and login (via SSH – doesn't matter) You can use a 2GB card if you like.Īfter boot up and I like to switch on SSH so i can do it all remotely. ![]() But there are a few steps to make this work really well. So after doing the basic setup of the Pi i added the USB drive to the system. Great news is there are so many and cheap to buy. If you are going to use a PI as a crashplan device it only makes sense that you will have a USB drive attached to it for storage. I played around with various setups and also pulled in lots of info from other people on here. The great news is now we have the core OS with hareware FP and Oracle have release a new preveiw version of Java for embedded devices with hardware FP. Until a few months ago the only way to run Java was on the the PI without using the hardware floating point ability. I will focus on this blog on the crashplan setup as it has been the most challenging.Ĭrashplan needs a Java Virtual machine. Should alot less power consumption that my current setup. ![]() ![]() Each unit will have its own USB 2TB drive. So my first PI will run my torrents and owncloud and the second will be for the crashplan backups. Looking at all the great work been done it made sense to divide the functions. In Australia energy is not cheap so after playing around and researching the PI it looks like it might fit the bill really well. Having my linux box with all the disks and high end processor, plus the mac running all day is eating into my power bill. OwnCloud (this is a new item and still experimental). Crashplan back for myself and other friendsģ. I'll still use Mac now the bulk of my daily work, but the linux box takes care of three key things for me.Ģ. I come use Windows for work, Mac for home (with remote access to work), but a few years back i was so pissed of with Vista i tried Ubuntu and got into Linux. What I am really loving about it is that it can do so much! Its now freely available to buy and while I will sound very geeky its a cool thing to play with.įor sure its linux based and the default install of raspberry debian is very easy to use with help from the great internet community. I've been playing around with my new raspberry pi unit. ![]()
